I want to do a system restore. I want to save some of my important files to a flash drive through Time Machine. I want to save things like Adobe CS4 and Microsoft Office which I paid a lot of money for. If I save these programs to my flash drive can I re-download them after the restore?

Yes, but if you paid for them, you should also have the install discs for those apps, so you could re-install them if needed.

That should still work. You can always download the trial version and enter your serial number, if you find a need to reinstall it.
Ok, thanks. But if I just re-install it from the flash drive will it already be registered because I don't feel like looking for the serial number...
