i have a 13" macbook and i want to change the hard drive, i saw the step by step instructions but the bottom side of my macbook doesn't look like that.

any help is great, but here is what i've heard

i heard that you have to use the same brand of hard drive as what came with your mac, is that true?

What MacBook do you have? You can use any 2.5" SATA drive, it doesn't have to be from same manufacturer as your current

thanks, this site is really helpful, i followed your links and found some install videos at other world computing, very helpful

this is why i left windows lol

ifixit.com has some excellent tutorials as well

my macbook white fan died, and they had excellent step by step instructions on taking it apart and diy servicing it
