I recently purchased a macbook pro 17" off ebay. I want to upgrade to a quad core. My processor is a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 and I have 8 gigz of RAM at 1067 MHz (DDR3). After researching online, I'm under the impression that I need to know what type of motherboard I have and a load of other things I need to know before I go and upgrade to a quad core...

Can anyone help me figure out what type of motherboard I have, and what type of intel chip I should get, if I have to get a whole kit..things of that nature...A.S.A.P..THANKS! :confused:

1) You cannot replace the CPU. It's soldered to the motherboard.
2) Based on your post and inability to determine motherboard, I'm not sure you should replace anything in your computer.
 
I'm sorry, but you can't replace it. It is smoldered to the motherboard. IF you have to, buy a PC and apparently there is a application called PearPC? I may be wrong, but the app has SOMETHING to do with a pear.
 
cool..thanks, I switched out my hard drive and RAM and ****...i didn't have the balls to unscrew the motherboard and peep what's on the other side. I appreciate the help though...oh and if you were looking at my post like.."WTF?"..yea I was serious, obviously why I posted before I actually executed. Now you all can go back to jerking off to porn cause you will never get real *****.

Please look at the timestamps of the two posts you refer to. They have been posted at the same time, not uncommon on these boards.

This matters as a way to explain your frustration with the people of planet Earth and why you vent like this.
It is just curiosity. I mean I am short of 30 and don't use those words with other people, even if I would feel spoken down to. That way you somehow "justify" the "being spoken down to" attitude you might feel coming from the others, as the others perceive you as immature. It is a vicious circle I suppose.
Or has swearing brought you ever respect or does insulting people really help you in some way?
If that is the case, can I talk to you like you talk to some members here and you would still help me?
Does that mean, I can call you a "****** ****************" and add "could you please help me with this?" and you would gladly come over and help?

And we are not on Friendface here.

Wow, how old are you, 12? Don't come on here asking a question if you don't like the answer, resorting to homoerotic insults doesn't make you look any smarter nor does using poor grammar.

If that's all you're here to contribute, please, get up and leave this forum, we don't need any of your kind around here. As far as I'm concerned you're the one acting like a prick here.
