Read at bottom for link to Unlock your iPhone. However, if you updated to 4.1 already (you mentioned you restored already) then you can jailbreak, but not unlock.

if you recently updated it to 4.1 using the restore, then you are SOL until a new unlock is released after 4.2...

ultrasn0w (which is used to unlock phones so they won't need to be used with AT&T) does not currently support your baseband.

There is nothing you can do to use your phone until a new software unlock appears.

When it appears, you can bet this forum will be buzzing with the news. So keep an eye out for it. For now you have a nice iPod.

Hey I think u can use fuzzyband to downgrade your baseband and unlock again.

What AppleJuiced said. Run FuzzyBand, after it's finished it'll say "Ready to downgrade baseband" or something like that. When FuzzyBand is finished it'll reboot your iPhone. Then you can unlock via Ultrasn0w.

wow really? ill look into to it thx for all the comments helps =D

FuzzyBand only works on about 10% of the very oldest 3G phones, so don't get your hopes up too high.

As far as jailbreaking, it is required to unlock.

okay the prob is that i cant even get to the ap screen
it says insert a sim and would only let me use emergency call

It looks like the OP is lucky and has the 5.8 bootloader

Run limera1n or greenpois0n to jailbreak.
