So, since the announcement of the new iPhone 12 line I was debating with myself if I should upgrade or not.
Last year I decided to get the normal 11, coming from the X, as I just wanted the ultra wide camera (couldn't - and still can't - care less about the telephoto). I was happy with the phone, BUT the new 12 Pro Max caught my eye, mostly because of the camera. But was it enough to justify spending this much money on a new phone? Well... I went for it.
I only had the 7 Plus as a big phone and I was a bit afraid of such a jump. However, in the end, the size isn't that much different..it's just a bit taller. I use a case (official leather) and I'm happy with it.
My take on this upgrade: the display is gorgeous and totally worth it. The phone is heavier, yes, but nothing too bad. I've been using it for 2 days and I have no complaints.
The cameras are stunning. I'm still shocked with what they can do (even when compared with the 11!) and I can't wait to see what the Apple ProRaw will add to this experience.
However, the BIGGEST improvement is on the radios! I've been working from home since March and I get many calls a day. In my home office (well...my bedroom), I always had issues with reception with the 11. So bad that sometimes I had to move to another part of the apartment so I could actually hear what the other person was saying. With the 12, I no longer have to leave from my desk! It has a WAY better reception.
Other than that, battery seems to last and everything feels smooth with performance.
Really, really happy.
So, if you're on the fence over upgrading or not, go for it.
