I just bought a new MacBook 2.0Ghz. I am currently transferring files over wi-fi and listening to music using a flash player. However, it takes my MacBook around 2 hours (w/ the above conditions) to charge all the way from somewhere like 50 percent. Is this normal?

Also, sometimes my MagSafe wont show the Light even when it is providing power to the notebook. Could this be related?

The magsafe SHOULD light, but I have noticed that the new MB/P's seem to take longer to charge up.

That's about normal. For some reason, the newer Apple laptops (these ones and the MacBook Air) take a lot time to charge. My older MacBook Pro takes just over an hour to charge from 0% and the battery is also larger on the MacBook Pro.
