Normal/Expected Light bleed

Just curious if this is normal/expected...it is somewhat annoying when watching a movie (not that I'll watch movies on this that often).

Unfortunately, yes. I've had better and worse than that on the 3 unibody mbp pro's I've owned. You could argue that it's unacceptable, but then you would be playing the "new lcd panel" lottery. That means you could get a panel that has worse bleeding and possibly stuck pixels. However, if it bothers you in everyday use, you could try to go the replacement route with apple.
