Hi.Could someone please tell me how much is the speed of a normally functioning mac to copy an 8GB file?and how long would it take for doing the same?

What Mac? What is the source of the file and what is the destination? How are they connected? I don't see how anyone can answer your question in its current form.

A modern Mac with SSD? Easily under 10 seconds.

Otherwise it generally depends on the slowest part of the chain consisting of source (SSD, hard drive), the medium (USB 2, USB 3, thunderbolt, internal), and the destination (internal drive, external drive).
