North Face Backpacks for 17'' MBP

Does anyone know of any North Face backpacks that will fit the 17'' MBP? I saw the thread about the "Surge" does but I was curious if anyone knew of any other North Face backpacks that fit....

The Surge is a great backpack.. I have one and my MBP 17" fits great in the dedicated laptop section with its own zipper, ample padding, and keeps your laptop easily accessible. It also has pockets in the front for various cords, remote, etc. Very comfortable. All around great backpack.

Is the laptop compartment waterproof?

In a light rain, I would expect that the ballistic nylon would keep moisture out, but I am not sure I would trust it to keep things dry in a heavy downpour or in prolonged exposure to even light rain. The material is not (to my knowledge) waterproofed.

You can get a universal cover that will fit whatever bag you get if it is an issue.

Also, scotch-guard spray can help some materials repel water better even if they weren't meant to originally

I got a Recon II by The North Face and it holds a 17" just fine. Take your laptop down to their store and see what you like. My experience with mine has been very good.
