This nest is in northeast Florida, the experienced parent eagles are Gabrielle and Samson, their 2020 clutch was two eggs, laid on January 13 and January 16. Both eggs hatched, NE22 on February 19 and NE23 on February 21. Enjoy the site while the parents raise their prodigiously ravenous offspring! It doesn't take long for the eaglets to put on weight, grow real feathers and become rambunctious while they start exercising their wings.

Here are snaps of the fuzzy gray hatchlings as of this morning. The siblings are already acting aggressively towards each other when a parent starts another round of preparing bits of food for the eaglets. The parents will generally not interfere with this behavior, so it remains to be seen whether both eaglets will continue to compete and thrive, but in the meantime both appear to be healthy. NE23 was hatched second but is quite scrappy when it comes to reaching for the food. Below are snapshots of them and the papa this morning, and their nest tree.
I haven't watched this particular nest before. The environment seems welcoming but it was rather disturbing to notice the sound of a chainsaw in the background while I was preparing snapshots for this post... the site is private so its exact location is not revealed on the website.
