Hello,

I'm looking for something similar to Norton Ghost in Mac.. Does something like this exist?

Just ordered a white macbook a couple of days ago and also a 500GB laptop HD. I'd like to image the macbook drive and then ghost it to the new laptop drive.

Is this doable or do I have to reinstall everything? Just curious.. Thanks!

You can even do this with Disk Utility. Just go to the Restore tab and drop the source and destination disks in there.

is that free software? I couldn't quite figure out if it's freeware, shareware or what.

thanks again. I think that's pretty much what I'm looking for.

SuperDuper is your bff. It makes an exact clone of your working hd and best of all, it's bootable! So, if your working hd ever funks up, u can boot up that backup like it was your actual current drive.

yeah.. was just gonna reply and say that I read the rest of the page.

coming from the windows world, have to say that I'm not used to having good free software. If I really use this thing, I'll donate using that link of his.

thanks!
