I was recently invited to use Norton zone. It is a way that you can transfer large files and large files in large numbers. It is free. It works fairly well.

I am on a Mac running the newest version of Mountain Lion. I happen to discover that the presence of the Norton app on my computer caused problems. Specifically, it cause spontaneous events where the cursor would believe the open application.

Imagine you were in Microsoft Word typing, then you chose to click on the desktop. At that point, word would not be the active window. That is the effect it would have.

This occurred in multiple applications, including Word, Excel, Adobe InDesign, and multiple web browsers. First I thought it was my cordless mouse somehow causing it. By experimenting with a number of things I discovered it was not my mouse.

This problem was occurring quite frequently over a four-day period. Although you could not predict when it would occur, it occurred no less frequently than every minute or two.

I finally wondered if it was Norton so, I uninstalled it, and it solved the problem.

Shared for reference.
