Well, now at that age where I was forced recently to purchase a nose hair trimmer, coupled with that the first grey hairs coming through on my head - it wasn't a good month.

Was trimming my nose the other night as was my want, was in mid trim when the battery gave up. Sufficed to say, I was attached to the trimmer by a couple of nose hairs, stuck there, no sign of life from the trimmer. Tried tugging, ouch, was the second word after several expletives. Attempted changing the battery while attached to my face, no. So, yes, I had to do it - was running late for work - I had to pull; well the tears, the pain - still not fully recovered.

So, the warning here, make sure your batteries are fully operational.

OMG!!

I would cry. Actually I am sure we all would, tears always come out when nose hairs are involved :p

Scissors are the way to go. Tug and snip. Safer, not as painful.

What I hate is when my wife spots one and decides to yank it!

Geez, I've had the same batteries in mine for ages. My nose could use a trimming. Think I'll change the batteries now.

Trimmers are much better than scissors. I can shove the trimmer way up there. I wouldn't try it with scissors.

I think the real important part of this is:

 How much nose hair do you have if youve already killed the batteries!?

:p

Scissors. Scissors. Scissors.

i get nervous everytime i try to trim nose hair w/ small cisors.... so i was gonna buy the electronic one.. but well i should not ...

Well **** man, if you use pointed ones, I guess you would.

Nose hair scissors are rounded on the end, and the cutting edge is a few mm's down the blades.

Please, no pinching.

Hahahah, funniest thing I have heard all week.

You paint a very vivid picture and the thought had me cracking up.

I was preparing for the talk of blood spurting out of the nose as trimmer stalled and ripped out a toupee's worth of nose hair.

I figure let our nose hair grow. It's there for a purpose. Just trim it like a crew cut. :p

Seriously, now that I think about it, I don't think I would ever go up in my nose with a battery powered trimmer.

You don't trim weeds with scissors...

... you pull them suckers out by the roots.

Every once in a while, I stand in front of the mirror with a pair of tweezers, pull out as many as get caught in the pads, and dare myself not to cry. Line up the hairs on the sink like the corpses of your enemies.

Sure you may sneeze yourself deaf, but then you won't hear the whimpering.

Next week: waxing.

Priceless. :D

But yanking them out is not a good idea, in general.

Some people have developed nasty infections doing just that.

(Although I have been know to revel in self-torture, once in a while.)

Weak! Pull them out one at a time and feel the burn for each one! ;) You did get me thinking about waxing out nose hairs, I guess I'd do it with a Q-tip and some hot wax... just not on myself.

ROFL...... Sorry, I have had this happen and before I started to read your post I was laughing. I could already imagine what it was. Yup it sucks. But this was funny.....

Lesson, keep a small pair of scissors and/or an extra battery near by!

Pansy, I've plucked a hair or two when bored and it's not particularly painful.

Edit: hell I just grabbed a clump with two fingernails and yanked it out, I barely felt it.

my eyes tear up something awful when I do this! but yes, I do the same. Clipping them makes my nose itch. I'd rather just rip the bastids out by the root!
