Yesterday I tried to update my phone to 4.3 and I failed quite spectacularly. Itunes kept telling me that it couldn't update and all sorts of messages came up on screen, then to cap it all the phone got stuck on an icon telling me to plug it into itunes. I was not a happy bunny.
However, I got up at 04.00 to try and sort it out. After searching on here I found a suggestion to look at a file "sona nano" or something and add a # in front of a piece of code which "might " help. Well it did and my phone is working again.
Now for a technical Luddite like me to go messing about within the gubbins itself is a frightening ( and possibly damaging !) experience , but I did it. I can't find the thread here that posted the walk through so I can't thank the poster in person so I just thought I would post a big THANK YOU to the members of this forum who took time to post the remedy.
I hope one day to give something back to the forum but, to be honest , most of what you lot talk about passes at extreme altitude over my head
