I had like 80+ pictures that I wanted to burn on to a CD-R. I got an error message twice:

"This disc can’t be verified and might be unreliable. Try again using a new blank disc (error code 0x80020063)"

once it got to the verifying stage, that's when it stopped and that message popped up.

any ideas what the problem could be?

Macbook Pro
Mac OS X Version 10.6.7
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz

I inserted the blank disc, then opened it through the finder. I copied the files that I wanted to be put on the disc and pasted them, in the finder for the blank disc.

This is my first time trying to burn pictures to CDR from mac. Did I do something wrong? Is there a better efficient way to do so?

I just checked to see if the pictures were on the disc, and they were there. Was the error message incorrect?

worked perfectly!!! thank you so much, I wanted to know if I just delete all the files that I put into the burn folder? or do I just delete the entire burn folder?

No I didn't want to delete those pictures from my HDD yet. If I delete that burn folder will I lose all those pictures from my HDD? I just copied and pasted them into that burn folder.

You copied and pasted them? You didn't drag them as described in the guide I linked to?
Are the pictures still in the folder you copied from?

yes pictures are still in the folder that I copied them from

Then just drag the Burn folder to the Trash (not from the Sidebar):
Future Burns are Easy
If you think you may need to burn the contents of the Burn Folder again at a later date just keep the Burn Folder. Mac OS X is intelligent enough to remember where the original files exists and if the file gets updated between burns, Mac OS X will burn the most up-to-date file on the next burn. To remove items from the Burn Folder just delete them by moving them to the trash.
