I just upgraded to Lion this morning and now I am not able to get new email in Mac Mail. I had no issues when it had Snow Leopard. I have no problem sending email.
When I open up Mac Mail I received an error stating that the security certificate was not valid. I clicked on that I trusted the certificate. I am still not able to get any new email.
I removed my IMAP account from Mac Mail and then re-installed it. I received the same security certificate error and told Mac Mail to trust it. I received all of my previous email but no new email from today.
I installed it on a Snow Leopard machine with the same results. I wasn't able to receive any new email.
I just installed it on fresh install of Lion from scratch. I received the same security certificate error and proceeded to trust it. This time I was able to get all of my new email.
What might be causing my inability to receive new email on my upgraded MacBook Pro in Mac Mail?
Thank you for looking.
Solution: The spam filter was not updated. Once that was I was able to get my email again.
