iPad Not able to log in on one google account

New ipad setup. I am not able to log into my google apps, gmail, drive, google+, under my main account! but I can under a secondary gmail account I own. Anyone ever experience this?

I can go to safari and log into gmail, but the gmail app just returns an error.

Did you try rebooting your iPad? Maybe there's something stuck in a cache somewhere....

Was it set up as an exchange account on your previous device? If so, then it's the same thing I ran into. Had to delete the account on the new iPad and then add it back choosing the gmail option as opposed to exchange. Still works fine, just no more push. It's all due to tweaks on google's end.

Yeah, I had the same problem. You can't use exchange anymore for GMail. Google did this quite a while ago actually. i had the same issue after restoring an iPhone earlier this year. No more push GMail.

I had to go to my Google account settings and clear out all saved permissions for Google IOS apps. Then all was well again.
