Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I haven't upgraded my device to the latest iOS due to bugs and size and other reasons. I'm currently running 7.1.2.

With that being said, my girlfriend updated her phone to the latest iOS, now she cannot send me iMessages. I'm able to send them to her, but she cannot reply without getting an error message.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Is this a way of Apple forcing me to update my iOS? Can anyone vouch for this or am I the only one?

You are not the only one. I spent some time talking with some apple techs on the support line for a similar problem. I had to final delete the entire message thread and start over to fix the problem.

Really? are you running the latest iOS?

EDIT I fixed it using your advice. Thank you so much man. Had to delete all messages and start fresh, I guess it's a small bug but everything is working again. Appreciate your help.
