Hey,

So I've had this 500 gb drive for a year or so and it worked fine. I tend to experiment and i tried loading 10.6 on it and then trying to bootcamp to w7, but it didn't go so well so i erased it. when it was done there was no partition so i was going to do a verify and repair then erase and repartition after formatting back to extended, journaled, but as i verify it says there are errors, please repair. I hit repair and it says its verifying because even if u hit repair it still has to verify it first anyway, so as its verifying it says contains errors please repair. so I'm not quite sure what to do if pushing the repair button receives this prompt.

Please help, i dont have the money to buy a new one. thanks!

rMBP 10.8, 500gb WD HD

I'd just try re-initializing with Disk Utility.

Then do a "verify" instead of repair first.

It's possible that the drive has developed some bad blocks...

Then again, a re-initialization may do the trick...
