I accidentally deleted a bunch emails that I need. I went into time machine to try and restore my mail to a previous time period, and was unable to do so. None of the emails I deleted showed up. Any suggestions?

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but you did "go back in time" with Time Machine, right? (IE, you clicked the back arrow down in the right corner.)

You can go in manually and reimport the mailboxes from whatever date you need them from. They're in ~/Library/Mail/

What type of email account was this? For IMAP accounts, if you didn't store the mailboxes on your computer then there is nothing to restore. Mail.app stores all mail for POP accounts but IMAP mail is stored on the server unless you specifically back it up yourself.

It is a POP account..

Going "back in time" did not work while dragging the stuff from what is stored int he library in time machine backups only restored some of the mail...
