I searched the forum and did not find any threads related to this.
I have my main ISP email account configured in Mail (Leopard 10.5.7). I can send and receive email without issue using my home network (through Time Capsule). I just signed-up for Verizon broadband service for email and Internet access when I am on the road. When I am connected through the Verizon broadband device, I can receive but not send email from my main ISP account. I have no issues sending and receiving email from my gmail account.
I called my ISP tech support. They told me I have to call Verizon and find out what their SMTP server is and manually change my email account SMTP settings in Mail. They said I have to manually change back my SMTP settings when I use my home network, which is connected to my main ISP provider (which supports the email server). Is there an easier way to resolve my issue. It doesn't seem right that I have to keep changing my SMTP settings between my home network and the Verizon broadband device (connection) - THANKS
