Not all birthday's showing on iphone calendar

So i have birthday enabled on iCal, i have my iPhone set to sync all calendars, but yet, some, not all, of my birthday's will not show up on my iPhone. It doesn't seem to follow any patter, just some do not sync. Any thoughts on this?

so after some trial and error, it seems that anyone's birthday that is before 1932 (older relatives) will not show up on the phone's calendar, but will show in the contact info. Any way past this?

I'm having the same issue, but I tried changing the dates within the contacts and the calendar's aren't updating...could be because I'm doing that all on the phone, haven't synced yet.

I wonder if this is documented anywhere...

I have exactly the same problem. Very annoying. I hope it gets fixed in either 4.01 or 4.1.

Maybe your iPhone is just assuming all these people are dead by now.

It's a software bug; the developers didn't think about birthdays prior to 1932, plain and simple. Don't be childish.
