I've had my rMBP since the beginning of August. LG Screen, it's now showing noticeable IR.

I'm way past the exchange (obviously) so will geniuses just tell me this is normal? Will they replace my screen with another display?

What's the turn around on this? I ask this because I use my rMBP for work.

Anyways, would love some input! thanks!

If think it's a problem, then return/exchange it. You might get a worse one.

Personally I wouldn't care, nor do I look for this kind of stuff.

The IR is hardly noticeable in comparison with your display being very out of focus and having jpeg compression artifacts!

If you want an opinion at least give us a good look at the problem.

You need to show us a better picture you have 1 year warranty so you can ask for a exchange or they might fix it or replace the old screen with a new one..

Yeah sorry, I took it with an iPhone but to reconfirm there is a Window there. Macrumors to be exact.

I have the LG screen and yes IR is noticeable, well I saw it a couple of times minimizing my IDE after writing a couple of methods while returning to my solid color desktop. It doesn't bother me. But when you'll go seek for it, you'll find IR on a grey or light blue background.

I fixed my IR for good on my rMBP. I use non solid color backgrounds on my main machine, VM's and remote desktops.
