Two problems I'd love help on:

My MacBook ethernet doesn't work + not sure if it ever did. It works OK on my iMac so it isn't the cable. Any ideas why + will it need a service?

Also, why are the scroll balls on the mighty mouse so temperamental? Some days they work, some days not, and on one of them it's stopped working entirely. Frustrating.

Oh, and the MBPs will get the speed bump next Tuesday that so many crave. I met SJ in the urinals this morning. I am the oracle.

Don't know what's up with your ethernet, but regarding the mouse, the problems are largely because Apple suck quite incredibly and making/designing them.

Hmm, that clean up seems to have partly done the trick. The scroll ball has always been a bit hit-and-miss though.

Now that pesky ethernet....

The ethernet problem sounds like it will require a call to AppleCare or a visit to the nearest Apple Store.

Damn, was rather hoping you wouldn't say that. But thanks anyway.

another good way to clean the mighty ball is to roll it upside down on your mouse pad really hard really fast
