Not being notified of new text messages??

Yesterday I did the JB on my 3gs 4.0.1, got everything working perfectly EXCEPT I do not get notifications when I get a new text message. I have checked every "notifications" setting I can find, checked the ring tone/vibrate options...it all seems to be as it should be. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem???? btw...I am running on t-mobile

Do you have SBSettings? If you do there could be an SMS notification button thats active.
