So I bought 2 iPhone X, but it's going to be a week now of receiving my phone but not have been a charge, I was charged and had transaction but money is back in and no transaction. My bill was near 4K. My money I keep in different account and when I want to spend I transfer them in my spending account this helps me in case there is someone that is trying to steal from me there won't be any money, but at the moment they haven't charge and my and getting **** scared as I can't keep soo much money in htat account and need to tranfer to my other one and I ano a theif and don't want to get jail for buying a phone and not get charge I am only a Highschool kid.

What do I do? Like I am kind of happy inside that I have all my money that I spent, as I bought one for me and one for my mom. Which I saved for more than past 3 years. But I am scared same time too, as I am not a bad guy and never stole stuff and never want to.

I am thinking to wait another week if not I will transfer the money back to my other account so it's safe and all, which I normally always keep at.

Call whoever you bought it from and ask. It's unlikely they are just going to "forget" about it. Once an audit hits they will just charge you without warning. Then you get hit with overdrafts if there isn't enough money in the account.

bought it from Apple themselves, can I go overdraft on debit?

I thought it better of asking the former people who buy stuff as if they might experience something like this before and all.

You need to be speaking to Apple, not people on a forum. There is no way you will get to keep the money so you might as well sort it out now rather than get a surprise 4K bill later down the line.

Depends on your bank. There is probably a limit. They will probably not allow multiple thousands of dollars to overdraft. But they may not allow even a penny. Overdraft may simply be set to decline the charge.

My gut tells me you are basically hoping they forget about this and you get a free phone. They will NOT do that. It is best to get to the bottom of this now, particularly if you are worried about having that much money sitting in the account.

I would just keep the monies in the account Apple frequently charges temporary charge for the phones to make sure the card/bank has enough to play for them and then they don’t complete the charge and they fall off. Apple will then make the full charge a few days before the phones are shipped. If there is not enough in the account for the charge it will just put the phones on hold a few hours later or even the next day if still not enough in the account to cover the charge they will keep holding the phones until you contact and give them a different form of payment as the can’t or won’t charge the card again. If you don’t contact them and with a different form of payment (which you could put on a Apple gift card) the will release the phone to someone else after so many days.

So you could just take a chance and watch your order and see if you get a message that payment couldn’t be completed then transfer the money to the right account then call them and hope you didn’t miss your chance.

This happens a lot especially as in my daughter the bank stops the charge for fraud protection.

Good luck

With my iPhone 6 Apple charged me after over a month of the phone being delivered to me. I actually thought something might have happened with the transaction. But yeah as everyone else mentioned. They will charge you but might be a bit later.

Ps. If you have to save for 3 years to buy an iPhone X then I’m not sure if it was a wise decision. A crack on those glass front and back will cost you dearly.

Happened with me on Amazon with a freaking MacBook pro for ~$2300. I payed via check on Amazon using a 3rd party seller. Received it in 2 days. No charge upon shipment. No charge after a week, 2 weeks....

Literally ate away at me like the tell-tale heart. Kept worrying about it being sucked out of my checking months down the road and I'd forget about it and incur an overdraft....also the guilty and worry of check fraud potentially upon an audit and having to deal with the authorities later on thinking I scammed them or whatever, (even though there was no error on my end.)

Called Amazon and rectified it. Not trying to sound like im running for Sainthood, but yeah it was a tough decision.

I felt like I should Treat my self, as I never bought stuff for myself all also I just worked hard year upon year and all. So You know some people told me just enjoy life and all you know plus I still have 70+ years left and all. And I recently lost a loved one and just thought just buy it to get over grief and all. But am working hard towards app building so I can make some money.

I will be keeping money in that account as from bank I found out that interest on overdraft is really high and fade that tbh, so I will be checking account every week just to make sure I am not getting in a scam or anything all. But will be contacting apple and all by the end of the week to be at a safe end.

Yes well done with that. Just take good care of your new shiny toy and don’t drop it. Invest in a good case.

On a separate note - Since you mentioned that you’re in school, I’d like to point out that making money from developing your own app is like finding cryptonite. But development, in general, is a very good skill to acquire. So keep at it. But don’t expect to make a lot of money from your own app. But using the development skills you might get a good and well paid job.

Thanks guys for the help!! the payment has been done!! Thank for the help a lot!!
