Not charged for 2 months OS X problems

Hey so while moving I didn't charge or use my MacBook for a couple months. I just fired it up and OS X utilities pops up. It won't let me install OS X Mountain Lion, when I attempt to the only disk that shows is recovery HD and it says it's locked. In disk utility macintosh HD isn't showing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It won't let me restore from a back up either as no backup source appears
