iPod touch Not charging

I've never been a fan of Apple products, but I won this iPod so I figured why not use it. I've had so many problems with this thing from it being stuck in bootloops, to the current problem, not charging. I've used every cord and usb combination available in my house, all of which to no avail. I tried putting it in DFU and still nothing. My computer also keeps telling me that the usb cant be used because its malfunctioning. So, what doI do about this not charging? I've also cleaned out the charging port about 16 times.

Have you tried charging it using a power adapter rather than from the computer? I have had problems charging an iPod from the computer when the battery is completely flat. Not sure if this is the case here but may be worth trying if not.

if the above fails, try:

Clean cable
Clean port
Induction charger.
