I am trying to connect to the 2.4GHz connection to my router band through my Macbook Pro on Sierra 10.12.3 and everything is updated. The 5Ghz band works, but keep disconnecting every so often as the router is all the way in the basement (as that is the only cable modem connection in the whole house) and I am using my computer on the 2nd floor. But my phone (Motorola Moto E, 2nd Gen) in the same room, works great with the 2.4Ghz band. Sometimes I can not even see the 2.4GHz wireless name in the list of wireless connections. How to connect to the 2.4GHz on my Mac? I tried so many things. Thank you.
