ok, ive been trying to copy big files like 7g to my external hardrives and none of them seem to copy, it keeps givin me this error (image attached) error code 0, so i've tried multiple hardrives and no luck, anyone know how to sort this

what format is your external drive(s)? check in disk utility by selecting it and looking at format down the bottom. if its fat32 then theres your problem. fat32 has a 4gb (i think? definitely less than 7gb though) limit.

format it to HFS+ and youll have no problems. this will delete everything on it so back it up in small 4gb pieces

how do i format it to HFS+ ???
 
You can use the programm Disk Utility. You find it in your home folder and ...

/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app

Formatting the hard drive erases all data on it of course.
