So I tried jailbreaking my iPhone a while back and it worked for a few weeks. Recently I was texting and the phone froze up and shut off and now it won't turn back on.

I have it connected to my computer but when I try to turn it on I get a red battery with a lightning bolt. How do I get around this/is it even possible?

It sounds like your battery is failing. It might need to be replaced.

It seema its a bad or loose battery most likely.
Try to connect & charge with another cable though.
