not getting iMessages on ios 12.0.1

most of my iMessages are working but i received a message from a contact and it came through on all my other devices (which arent on the latest software), but it hasn't come through on my iPhone which is on 12.0.1. its a XS Max.

has anyone else noticed this? i think its a bug and not something that will be resolved by a restore.

I’m following up on this.

Definitely some strange stuff going on with message delivery. Just received a message on my non ios12 devices, but not on my phone. Had to close the messages app to get it going.

Hope for a fix soon :/
