Hi, I have Garageband version 6.0.5 installed and I saw that the version 10.0.2 is released. But the update notification is not coming up and if I visit the update tab of the App Store it still doesn't show the update.

I tried visiting the Garageband page in the App Store and then I see the "Free" button with it but it is supposed to be "Update" or "Installed" if there are no updates right? Any ideas?

Hi,

Garage Band 10.x.x is not an update for a 6.x.x version : it's a "new" version (10. versus 6.), and yes, it's now free.

That's why you don't see any "update" for your 6.0.5 version : an update for this would be 6.0.x, or 6.1.x.

Thanks for the reply. So, if I want to get the new version can I just click the install button from the App Store or should I remove the current version first?
