Apple announced the new AirPods Pro 3 this week, but if you're looking to save some money and don't mind purchasing a previous generation model, Amazon has a $50 discount on the AirPods Pro 2 right now.

You can get the AirPods Pro 2 for $199.00 on Amazon, down from $249.00. This is a second-best price on the 2023 earbuds, and right now only Amazon is providing this steep of a discount on the model.



The AirPods Pro 2 feature Active Noise Cancellation, personalized Spatial Audio, USB-C charging, Apple's H2 chip, and more. If you're looking to pre-order the new AirPods Pro 3, you can do that today on Amazon at the price of $249.00 ahead of the September 19 launch date.

This is by no means a good deal. By this time during Black Friday, the AirPods Pro 3 will be $199 or lower.

Woot has the APP2 with USB-C refurbished/reconditioned for $125 today. "earbuds20" might get another 20% off, not sure I got an email but already have them.
 
Are the new tips in AirPods Pro3, going to be compatible with AirPods Pro2?


The Noise Cancelling improvement, I think is coming mostly from the tips, and maybe the design (?)
Besides that, heart rate sensor, comes in the Watch, and there's nothing else... am I missing something?
 
woot's got "factory refurbished" airpod pro 2 with USB-C magsafe case for $100 right now. no idea what "factory refurbished" actually means though.
 
I got the AirPods Pro 2 during July's Prime Days. Couldn't pass up the $149 price at the time (my gen1 went through the laundry, but had mostly been working). I was hoping to wait for the gen3, but couldn't pass up that low price for the gen 2.
Not sure if/when I might get the gen3 now.

Think the new ones will be on discount by Black Friday. If one cannot wait, then the 2nd gen version is very good and can be had at very good prices.
