Hi all
I'm so getting **** at being told that I'm not locked to a carrier and find that I am, now I'm living in a different country and with a new contract. what can I do? I have a iphone5 and a iphone 4 that are blocked! the original carrier is so not interested in this so it looks like I'm jiggered.
I have been using Mac products for years, as a pro photographer for over 20 years, why do I now hit that brick wall now?
Thanks Steve.

I found out from apple this week that an iphone has a profile and its copied from phone to phone when you get them replaced. So if you carrier unlock a handset and then get it replaced your profile copy's to the new device so does the unlock. Apple even confirmed to me that it was unlocked and because it has a history of being unlocked if it got locked again accidentally they would unlock it at their end. So if yours was unlocked they should just.be able to redo it
