not OEM iphone 5 car charger? / also lighting to usb adapter work?

i have a iphone 5 and want to buy a car charger.

When i was buying the phone. the sales rep. said that only the original Apple iphone 5 chargers will work and not the ones on ebay/ not OEM.
probably BS. i think. TRUE or not true?

Has anyone bought one from ebay?
do they work?

Did you have any problems with none original chargers not working?

Has anyone tryed the lighting to usb adapters? will they charger your phone?
also is there a better place to buy a charger for cheap other then ebay?

When I had my 4s, I bought a car charger. I just plug in the iPhone 5 charger into the USB input and it works. You'll be fine, don't waste your money.

thanks. i will try it. i have my old lighter usb charger also from my 4s.

But does it charger fast and doesnt over heat the phone on the backside?

To be honest, I didn't really notice any difference in charging times. The phone just gets warm the same as if I plugged it into the wall with the cube.
