I put a DVD into my macbook and it won't recognize it. I don't see the DVD on my desktop and when I try to burn something to it it says to put a DVD in that has enough space to cover the file I want copied. Does anyone know whats wrong and how to fix this?

Does it say to put in a DVD with enough space or just to put in a disk. If the first is the case, the DVD is too small and you should try a dual layer DVD.

What kind of disc are you using? If it's rewritable you might need to erase it first and then burn it.

Could you be more specific about the file you're trying to burn? Is it just a document, or is it a disk image (like .iso or .dmg)?
