I am 17 years old and i'm thinking about upgrading my iphone 2g tomorrow to the iphone 3g S. I have added myself to the "RAU", and i have my father's(who is the primary account holder) SSN. Do I still need him there? Thanks for your help in advance.

I believe so, since you will be signing a new contract, you must be 18 or its void, so they will want someone of legal age. Better to bring someone over 18 along.

This happened to me last year for the iPhone 3G. I was 17 and the process was smooth. I didn't need anyone over 18. Just needed the last four numbers of the social security card and the money. Make sure you are an authorized user and you are good to go.

Alright. Did you buy it at an ATT store or an Apple Store?
Both are equal distances away, which one should I go to?
