just got my MacBook back from Apple today, they replaced the HDD and i had to reinstall OS X.

obviously my iTunes library is gone so I'm trying to import my music from CDs, but the drive appears to not be reading any CD I put in. I have 10.4.9 and iTunes 7.1.1.

Disc goes in... sounds like it spins... ejects...

Any help?

Reset PRAM (Apple-option-P-R on boot till you hear the second boot chime).

Repair persmissions, verify disk.

Does it recognise other media, like the OSX discs? :)

yea, I tried some more this morning, and it recognized a blank disc that i put in, and it ended up recognizing one audio CD...

i don't have my computer with me this afternoon so i can't try the resetting suggestion right now
