Any idea what the icon looked like? If it looked like a spring with an @ on it, that was just a link to the Apple homepage.

If it looked like something else, I'll need a description :)

Sidenote: if it sat next to the trashcan, it couldn't have been an application, as applications all sit to the left of the dock divider.

if this is what u were talking about, its a link to apple's webpage, not an app, u can drag any link to dock and result would be an icon like that. no big deal.

Which, according to about 15 threads here, won't do you much good right now. ;)

It is unfortunate that dragging from the dock is not an "undoable" action, since it is fairly easy to do accidentally.

But not that hard to fix once it's been done.

Well, assuming you remember which thing you pulled off, this is true. However, for many new users, this has been an issue that seems relatively simple to fix.

Your certanly right about that...I have been able to fix quite a few learning puffs a smoke, except that @ button on a springy thingy...But now, like another user had stated, I woulda gotten rid of it anyway !!!
