I backed up my iphone 3g data via itunes last night.
I activated my VZW iphone 4 via itunes today.
However, I cannot restore last night's back up. It did not give me that option.
It now only offers to restore data that I backed up this morning, which is the empty iphone 4's data.
Would very much appreciate help.
Thx very much.

Is it confirmed that a backup from an AT&T phone will in fact restore onto a VZW phone? I wouldn't think so myself...

Thanks.
I actually did this (back-up AT&T; restore to VZW) two days ago on my own phone. Can't get it to work on my wife's.
So, it actually does work or should anyway.

I'm not in front of my Mac to check, but I think if you hit Command (or is it Option) when you click the Restore button it'll bring up a list of potential backups. You can then select the correct one.

Well, tried that and the prior back up does not appear.
Thanks very much.

I resolved this by re-backing up the iphone 3 and then the data was there to restore. Should have thought of this before.
