Not seeing dark mode email in Apple mail, even tho i have this activated in settings (screenshot inside)

When using apple mail and then choosing dark mode for emails, why do i still sometimes get emails in light mode and dark mode mixed? Is there a way to ALWAYS get dark mode in apple email?

I don't have an answer, but I can confirm that I do see the same thing. The occasional email is not in dark mode. This isn't a new problem, has been happening all along, on earlier iOS versions as well.

By the way, are you saying there is a separate setting for email? I don't see it. I only see Dark under Appearance in Display & Brightness.
