I updated my M1 MacBook Air to 26.1 last night however my Macintosh HD icon has not updated to the new one. I’ve tried restarting my Mac but the icon has not updated.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Both my M3 Air and Studio show the new icon for the system drive.

They also finally fixed the external drive icon not showing the new one either

Something else to try: do a Get Info on the hard drive, click on its icon, then press Delete. I know you have the default icon, but this is just to check that you don't have a custom icon that looks like the default one.

I tried turning off then on Finder>Settings>"show these items on the desktop" - HD. I then deleted the finder prefs. Still no luck.

I also tried doing a Get Info on the hard drive but I could not delete the icon.

I ended up copying and pasting the icon from my external drive. That was the only thing that worked.
