Hi all,

I upgraded my 2009 13" MBP from Snow Leopard to Lion a little while back.
Yesterday I rebooted & held down the option key, expecting to see the Recovery partition come up as a boot option, but only saw the main HD.

I then plugged in a USB stick with Lion Recovery & that showed up fine

But should I have seen the Recovery partition on my main HD?
Opening Disk Utility now, I can see that it only has a single partition; I thought installing Lion would automatically create a recovery partition ...

I guess what I'm coming down to is "I'd like a recovery partition on my MBP - how do I get one?" :)

ok apologies everyone

Cmd-R to boot into Recovery mode - works fine
I guess Disk Utility is just hiding the recovery partition

So all's well, I have the recovery partition & can boot into it fine
