Is there any reason that I can't buy an iPhone and not sign on with AT&T? I travel between the US and Argentina for several months at a time and would like to use an iPhone but just get a sim card in each place. Would Apple know I'm not signed up with AT&T when I upgrade the iPhone? From what I've read it seems to be easy to unlock the iPhone these days.
