I so need Windows 7 to read certain files. I could either upgrade to 8GB costing me $50 and hope that will make it fast enough so that I can run my apps side by side with VirtualBox, or I could just run VirtualBox and nothing else (I suppose it's still gonna be somewhat heavy?) while running it but then closing it and then opening other apps might take time. Last time I remember I tried Parallels 6, and it took forever to shut that thing down and fire it up again.

I guess I could do the bootcamp but that might take long to restart the computer after I'm done with whatever I need to do on Windows.

I could get SSD for $80, that would make everything much faster (or would the 8GB have the effect of the SSD without sacrificing storage space?)

Do you have anything that you actually need OSX to run?
