Can you view and go through images on a MBPro like you do on an iTouch?
Meaning you just swipe your fingers to move onto the next picture?
 
Yes, in Finder, just View > Cover Flow (or Command+4) or click here:

That was the problem! I was also lookin' for the virtual keyboard on the screen as well, but no luck. :(
