Notational Velocity and Notesy

I current use NV with Simplenote and it works fine, but want to switch to Notesy to make use of subfolders. I currently have hundreds of notes in NV, all tagged.
Could anyone please tell me:
1. If I create a sub folder in Notesy how it appears in NV
2. Do I have to add all my existing notes to subfolders created by Notesy or can make use of the NV tags?
