Notch 4:3 video?

This is not an complaint thread but I am wondering how the notch will handle 4:3 video playback? Would there be an notch on those videos since they are not 16:9. I have a lot of 4:3 videos and I watch older shows which are 4:3.

I was wondering about this last night. Hopefully it automatically avoids the notch area.
