Notebook Decision

I'm going to be buying a laptop soon, either a 14" iBook or 12" Powerbook. I want a DVDRW drive so currently that rules out the iBook. If I get the 12" Pbook I plan on buying a 17 " monitor for home use. I Like the portability, More VRAM and DVDRW in the pbook. I like the bigger screen on the iBook.

Is there any chance the iBook will get an DVD-RW option when it's updated?

Should I buy the 12" Powerbook or wait for upgrades to both lines (or at least iBook).

two things:
1. the res on the 12" powerbook/iBook and the 14" iBook are the same, so your not really getting any more space
2. there is a 14" iBook model that comes with a Superdrive

This thread, posted in this forum way back in ... earlier today, asks similar questions. Has some answers too.

No one here can tell you exactly what the next updates will bring, but improved optical drives are possible.
